The character is insulting people solely to get a reaction for his self-amusement.

Maybe "comparatively bleak"? Like, compared to the MCU his trilogy is much darker in tone. And they're "realistic", again, only in comparison to MCU and earlier Batman movies.

Maybe the execs believed Snyder had the talent to be as bleak as Nolan was in his trilogy? I guess they forgot Nolan was basically attempting to do a character film (sort of) and not a pure comic book anthology.

x2!

the only episode i remember from Hey Dude is when the campers change the large rocks spelling "DUDE RANCH" to "NUDE RANCH" and a naked couple shows up at the end.

A friend of mine that I respected lent me IHTSBIH because, according to him, it was hilarious. I made it through part of the first chapter and attempted to read other segments, totaling around 20 pages. I gave the book back to him along with the respect I once had. Sucks.

People commenting negatively on Fallon's show without having watched it?! Never!

Seriously, people upset over Fallon's softball interview must have never witnessed any late night interview in their life.

YOUR MOTHER.

National Enquirer isn't shit, YOU'RE shit!!!

"irreconcilable differences" is Hollywood speak for "I'm boning someone new", right?

Are you spying on them?

I caught that on BounceTV (a free antennae channel). I was hungover and watched the last 2 hours of it or something. It made no sense. He was on Mars driving a car while being chased for no real reason. Rosario Dawson was in it I think. She was also in the car but her purpose was even less clear.

It's like the world has already forgotten about Pluto Nash.

It's so dumb that people think everyone should be neutral with political opinions. If you can't accept a writer's POV when reading their stuff you got a problem

I like Narcos' style of storytelling. Sometimes I can't tell if the themes I pull from the show are intentional but subtle or just unintentional. Mainly being I can't tell if Murphy's character and narration are a microcosm of US Foreign Policy or not. The arrogance and simplified way he narrates works for TV

Idk, I'm not sure I'd like to handle a used douche or a piece of poop. Granted, I don't often think literally when someone is called a "douche".

agree to disagree

They got a little meta when Jenner said something to the extent of "not this again" when Garrison referenced the turd sandwich vs giant douche thing.

I don't understand the sacrificing pets line. Can someone explain?
