This episode encapsulated everything I love and hate about this show - a perfectly captured paranoid thriller with excellent long shots and visuals, albeit with a dense plot bordering on convoluted. Hopefully the continued layers that are revealed get peeled back to something that makes sense.

this is why the internet is good

more like Mr….SUCK!

I'll be honest - I thought it was already Istanbul before WW1.

I was curious about Snowden solely because I felt Levitt's dialect in the trailers nailed Snowden's voice. However, my worries that Stone would Stone-ify it beyond repair seem to have been realized. I mean, my god. Nicholas Cage saying "He did it. The kid did it." is beyond the pale. Yikes.

And here I didn't think the oregon/western "Patriot" movement could get any more insufferable.

"If you protest against [some general, non military issue] you don't respect the troops!" is my favorite argument for nonsense controversies.

I never realized Ronald wore jodhpurs like a military field marshal in WW1.

quiet you

I like him a lot. Cameron is great at improving on a good idea, which is why his sequels are always better imo because they ratchet up the id factors that were barely on the surface of the original films. His standalone work is hit or miss.

I remember watching The Terminator on VHS when I was a kid and fast forwarding to the sex scene. Yay pre internet!

we need more Affleck side peen a la Gone Girl

But will we get to learn how Bruce Wayne became Batman in this movie or will it leave that unresolved?

Feels like it belongs in AVClub's new "Food" section

get the fuck outta here with that cheesecake point inflation

was going to comment "nice" just because of the #69 but immediately remembered a question I had that I'm too lazy to look into or ask because it's not that big of a deal:

mom?

is this about 9/11?

love pork lactate

Oh, you think you can describe the tastes of wine and meats at a large feast from first person POV in more than 10 pages per meal???
