Also, the Pokémon anime never once has shown Porygon, or its family, in any episodes since then. I loathe this episode not just for the damage it wrought upon helpless children, but also because as a kid (and today) Porygon2 was my favorite Pokémon, and it would never have its own episode because of this!

I always crack up when I see the screenshot of the episode where a dude points a gun at Ash's head. Also the idea that there's a magic world of mysterious creatures and yet also guns were invented
