I believe just about every state in the US follows some form of the castle doctrine. There was a precursor in English common law that came to the states. Well, this isn’t Utah. It’s on US 82, which goes through NM,TX, AR, MS, AL, and GA. It looks like TX is the only one that extends the doctrine to a vehicle and even then it doesn’t apply here.
