A thing that I realized recently is that the people who are really pushing this are investors, and for them ‘making more money’ IS a leisure activity, and they can’t fathom that for a lot of people who work 40-60 hours a week to make their rent and expenses need to draw a hard line between ‘work’ and ‘leisure’ or else…
Cowboyin’ WAS a notably lonely profession.
I reckon a lot of the people that “play to earn” appeals to are transactional-minded people who feel like any time or effort spent that doesn’t translate to material gain is wasted.
Would it not be easier to find one of the billions of ys already typed on the internet and simply ctrl-c / ctrl-v it instead of making everyone think you don’t know how to spell?
Perhaps they broke the Y on their keyboard? I once broke the A on my keyboard and had to spend nearly 2 weeks calling people @sshole until my new keyboard arrived in the mail. It was very annoying.

“Gameplay of Grit” Shows dude aiming gun and shooting in an empty room. Yeah that is worse than I expected.

What’s likely going on is some kind of anticipation response, my body is expecting to feel touch, even if it doesn’t…
at first I thought they were referring to the patch that introduced Touch between avatars, but then after 10 seconds of google I discovered its just the fact that if you try real hard to imagine it, you can trick yourself into “feeling” contact. in their case it would be similar to saying “I am highly suggestible when…
if they just stand there ya sure but most interact with people by their physical motions. thats still a form of communication.
You never know there may be a niche just for you. One of my friends mostly uses the Oculus for watching movies with people all Mystery Science style. And I know several people who primarily go to the Horizon’s Meta Court to watch and roleplay mock trials with other players.
This was a damn good article. And even though it solidifies my belief that this stuff isn’t for me, I’m glad folks who enjoy this stuff are enjoying it.
