You poor, sheltered child. Seeing the depravity of man must be painful for you but it is there and its depths go ever further.

I had honestly thought that a “ball tap” was a parody of extremely toxic “locker room” behavior they made up for that one episode of the Good Place, rather than a thing an actual human had done more than once.

As someone else said, HR serves the interests of the company. From the sounds of it, one of the most egregious offenders was one of the people in charge of things, so HR may have acted against the interests of the employee. While filing an employment lawsuit might have been the right thing to do, it can be a path

Agreed. HR is mostly to protect the company from legal issues relating to employees. If the easiest way to fix a problem is to fire you on an unrelated past offense, they will do that.

HR isn’t there to help employees. Don’t fool yourself. And many individuals don’t have the presence of mind or financial stability to hire a lawyer.

From what I have experienced and heard about, very very rarely if ever.  It shifts a little but never fully flips.

Once again, this is phenomenal work. I am deeply fascinated by this and how a company could ever hope to turn around. I get the idea of trying to slide by/not rock the boat, even when things are bad, just wanting to get by and make something of yourself in life. Still, to get to this point, it is incredible.

He could’ve been a great Superman, but the way the character was written turned him into a huge weirdo.

The Discovery Klingons are basically the new Honda Civic Type R with crazy shapes and bumps all over the place that make it look way over done.

The Discovery Klingons are a classic case in over design.

I think so far, we’ve only seen footage from the first couple of episodes (just like the initial season 1 trailer). There was a time jump between the two-part premiere and the rest of the season proper. That may be the case here as well.

It’s space though, so time is relative.

I’m confused... what time gap between seasons? Are they suggesting that the Enterprise showed up in the last moments of Season one, and just hung out there without communicating for months/years? And when season 2 kicks in, it will be months/years later? The trailer for season 2 looks like it takes place right minutes

My main problem with the new look is that the actors can’t talk under all of that makeup.

Cautiously optimistic for the plans, but...

I hope that all these new Star Trek series decides to bring the Universe post-Nemesis. I want to see what the Federation looks like a generation past the shocks of the Dominion War and the Borg Incursions. I want to see how all the knowledge and tech that Voyager has brought back from the Delta Quandrant has shaped

Indeed, the most exciting thing for me about a new chapter for Picard (other than the obvious) is that it’s a new chapter. It’s been hard for me to have any interest in Discovery or any of the other backfill that they’ve done lately.

For example, according to McNamara, nearly every Discovery character has been considered for his or her own show, including a series about Michelle Yeoh’s Emperor Georgiou. However, Stapf did insist that episodes in the Short Treks series, which will feature characters like Tilly, Harry Mudd, and Saru, are not test
