The way to make it better is to add the public option. We all know that won’t happen.

why do we (white people) always think that someone ELSE should fix the problems WE created?

The truly ironic thing is that it was theirs. Thats why the Dems thought that they would compromise on it, but the Repubs are not a party of conviction, they’re just anti-Dem.

There are some butch women who look out of place in a women’s restroom as well, and they are reporting getting more harassed for using the “wrong” bathroom since the bathroom bill crap started. It’s just not that easy to ID people’s gender based on physical appearance. There are a lot of blurry lines.

And what the

No bc that would require that they care about a transgendered boy’s safety.

The focus is always on the imaginary assault of girls.* Meanwhile my (adult) trans brother is legitimately concerned about his safety in bathrooms.

No, he just talks about 14 year old girls being scared of a transgirl with a penis using the same bathroom.

#1 would be much better if it simply read: Don’t point your lens at a light source nitwit. Light sources should always be out of frame, unless you’re deliberately going for shadow.

The only wrong way to eat noodles is to not eat them.

Here’s what I’ve learned about myself: my future self is unlikely to be more motivated than my present self. So I might as well just do The Thing.

She might find the all out rampage and the resulting clean house very satisfying.

Back when we were dating, my now-wife invited me to her family’s house for Easter. I don’t remember if this was our first or second holiday together, but it was definitely relatively early in the relationship. It was a big brunch, and her mom didn’t have enough space on the stove for all the bacon, so her brother

So many mismanaged charter schools out there. Plus the ones that are successful but flat-out refuse to admit special needs students because they require additional resources

And there are the charter schools that cherry-pick the special ed kids they’re willing to take (ones like my elder nephew, whose IEP is “can use digital voice recorder for notes” and otherwise is a brilliant young person) because that kid costs almost nothing but comes with a little extra funding, but then balk at

You’re doing great work and I just want to say, person to person, thank you for the path you’ve chosen for your career. Even by just helping one student, youre already contributing more and giving more back than our new hateful-in-chief ever seemingly has. Again, Thank you.

If there’s anything that demonstrates why things aren’t best left to the states, it’s education. Look at the wide disparity in educational attainment by state. It’s horrible. And so much of inequality is driven by education or lack thereof.

Because so much of American educational policy is decided by people who don’t work in education! I can only imagine the numerous accidental (and intentional) shootings that will occur if teachers are allowed to store guns in their classrooms.

As a public school teacher, I love this. We are unable to be trusted to do our job and should probably be fired, but it’s a-ok for us to have guns with us all the time at work.

Let’s be honest; Betsy DeVos would be happy if all public schools were replaced with Christian academies where picking on “the gays” was still acceptable like in the good old days.

You have to hand it to her brother, though, being able to find something even more evil than Amway.
