Yes, I’ve been doing this for a few years, excellent customer service and really helpful.

Yeah, I bet he does. He also had financial interest in an alternate vaccine which was a conflict of interest for his first, since discredited, paper.
I’m just so devastated by this. Fuck. This people are just horrible humans. And the dumb fucks who voted for them? Yeah fuck them too. Fuck.
I think the people actively encouraging anti vax, like Andrew Wakefield and his ilk, are nefarious. I think they are parasites who prey on vulnerable people. The people who fall victim to the BS are wrong, but I think that many smart people believe erroneous things. Of course it can be a fine line between them.
This is disgusting. This community has already faced unimaginable hardship then to have these horrible people preying on them? The anti-vax community is revolting.
Really well put. Poverty appears romantic and quaint when you are play acting at it. It’s fucking insulting.
Fuck Goop indeed. Plus I really want to second that there is a sever lack of access to medical care in many developing nations. I spent significant time in West Africa and bush remedies came from needing to do something. I really don’t think it is all that romantic. Frankly, made me grateful for vaccination.
Of course it is on sale at whole foods. Sigh. Not like Whole Food’s extensive snakeoil, er, supplement department won’t benefit from suspicion of doctors. No.
Short answer: YES. Yes she is. I loved that article and look forward to listening to the podcast. I really appreciate that Jezebel is reporting on this. I know it seems kind of funny at first, but I think that these people prey on folks who are desperate to feel better and it pisses me off.
Been there! I bet he was the prettiest shimmer zombie in preK.
Yes. Honestly I have struggled making friends with other parents, so many of them are devoted to their amber teething beads, and their strong beliefs about food and such. Which is fine I guess, but it comes with some strong judgement that others are doing it wrong. Which is why my now 6 year old son ends up spending a…
LOL! My son likes the strong lip colors too, especially smeared around his whole mouth like a clown!
I went through a phase when the only time I got alone was in my bathroom in the basement. My child would still find me, over time I came up with a strategy of either a) making him go away or b) inviting him to join me. I did this by buying him a selection of cheap make up products, primarily glitter.
The chiropractors that I have interacted with pushed pills heavily. The pills were “all natural” and “supplements” (read: no data demonstrating their efficacy and no oversight so could be anything in them). Which I consider pills.
This is a good point, the ACEs (adverse childhood experiences) research really has shown how trauma puts you in line for addiction and disease. I guess having a difficult childhood makes you deserve lifelong suffering?
I agree, the problem with a lot of the advice is that it has a victim blaming undercurrent. And that there is limited research into many of the things. Of course, sniffing asbestos is a bad idea, as is smoking, spending time around radon, and spending a lot of time in the sun. However, most cancers are built into our…
I agree. In our culture death is seen as a failure, as taboo. We are afraid to talk about it, but I think we need to in order to make humane, loving decisions. Not that I am against end of life care, but I think it needs to be discussed openly.
I’m so sorry you are going through this.
Let’s not blame him for causing his own cancer. However I do think it is important to note that he refused proper treatment. Even smart people make dumb choices.
I came here to say the same thing. You can do everything “right” and still get sick.
