She was 18. If you give it some thought, you’ll realize that “teenager” is a pretty solid answer to “why would you do something that stupid?”

Lol are you serious?
What you said...I agree...
Thank god. From a legal perspective, I have no doubt that the French court reached the right decision; her life was certainly not imminently threatened and the law, for very good reasons, restricts the availability of self-defense as a protection to a murder charge. So yes, I think she was guilty of murder under the…
Yeah, what Iris does is WAY worse than the ad hominems we commonly throw about. It’s insidious and it’s the height of concern-trolling. It’s not just on this issue, either. It’s on every other issue, too.
You know, if LOTS of people disagree with your viewpoint, you have the option to let it go. Or keep it to yourself. You don’t have to double down and spam the comment section. By now, you should have figured out that your viewpoint isn’t appreciated or welcome
I pointed out in the other thread, in response to a similar challenge, that your very first words told people that they were doing it “wrong” (quote unquote) and that your comment was — intentionally or otherwise — remarkably condescending. You got off on the wrong foot with that first comment, and instead of making…
As I said on the other thread, I wonder if when she hears people say “I’ve had a bad day, and can’t wait until it’s over,” she scolds them and tells them there’s nothing magical about the end of a given 24-hour period, and how do they know the next day is going to be any better?
On every post in every Carrie Fisher and now in every Debbie Reynolds thread you’ve been showing up to spam the place with “get over it” posts, and then you flood the place with passive aggressive responses to every single reply. You’re shitting on heartfelt posters’ comments and then getting huffy when people tell…
What you are is a creep. Why would you go out of your way to attack people who feel the need to grieve. If you don’t give a damn about grieving then move on and post in another site or to an article that you care about. It says everything about you that you choose to do this.
Dude, I read the earlier thread. If you don’t recognize the under-the-radar assholery in your tone then it’s a lost cause to try to explain why it makes you so unlikable. You seem to be okay with it though, maybe it makes you feel superior? Apparently you can live with it so there’s that.
That’s one of those things that *should* be a requirement for anyone pursuing this (or any national elected office). But it won’t be until the Boomers die off, because most of them can’t figure out where the “ANY KEY” is either.
My 16 year old daughter died on May 29th of this year.
If there is an after life, I like to think Carrie is chiding her mother saying “Jesus, could you not even give me 24 hours before you stole my limelight?!”
I saw this from Patton Oswald’s twitter, and I agree, I think Carrie spoke through this person.
Nope... 2013 is wrong.... forgot the duck face.
I have never understood why the Mona Lisa is the most famous painting in the world.
Well, there’s a semi-objective answer to this that has nothing to do with personal artistic taste... It was stolen in the early 20th century, and the theft was widely publicized. That made it famous.
It has a very interesting history, having been in some important hands. The composition is very balanced, and she is very recognizable...sorta like how Mickey Mouse is recognized around the world. Fame begets fame. Perhaps, also, it is much more striking in person. Like Vigo the Carpathian.
