I have recently been gifted some black garlic (fermented garlic), and besides just eating it like candy, how can I use it in cooking? Please help?

Me, too. And I was 100% behind this, already thinking of the voice I would use and the things I might say (and Sportsy nicknames for each kiddo). Now I’m sad, and have no interest in following the advice.

As someone who lives in a state with the max speed limit of 70, I would welcome lower numbers.

That’s what I was thinking. They need to put down some basic wrestling mats. (plus, those are just more fun to fall on, in general).

The best money I spend all year is to a professional to get my taxes done. Perhaps I *could* do them myself, but with 3 small businesses in 2 states.... no, thank you.

Holy nuts-ballz, this sucks.

As we watched his past story unfold, we started to understand that all of the “bad stuff” that had happened to him in his life that he was the most unhappy about was because of his own choices. Were there setbacks? Absolutely. but, in general, it was his reaction to the set-backs that derailed his life.

I never understood the hate for her. I thought she was freaking amazing - doing what she has to do to survive... She was the only character that I didn’t hate.

I’m sorry that you’re going through this, and unable to be there in person. Call your aunt and ask her to have the rest of the family leave the room for a minute or two while you talk to him.

And, as a book published during the depression, it makes sense that it would be more popular if it showed a “golden” time in history, “back in the good old days”. No one wanted to read about the dark and depressing facts... They wanted to escape. People likely wanted to read about a family with basically no money,

I use my immersion blender almost more than any other appliance. It’s awesome. It’s one of the few things that I replace THE SAME DAY that it dies.

Yes! And then.... then I saw a photograph of what a prairie homestead looked like inside. In my imagination, they all looked like those illustrations - bright, cheerful, cozy.... But the photograph shows a dark, grimy, cluttered reality of malnutrition and despair.

I was SO PISSED when I discovered that Jack, as we know him in the series, didn’t really ever exist. They sold him with the ponies, or something... But he certainly wan’t the faithful companion of years and years.

I have always been interested in that last one. It was never ready for publishing during her life - so how much would she have glossed over all of that tragedy, if she’d had the chance to polish it up?

Why does the map of Africa show so many of the colonizers’ languages rather than the native? In Senegal, so many do not start speaking French until they start school (around age 5), and many outside of the major cities don’t really learn it at all. So the polite French “a vos souhaits” will be meaningless outside of

The downside to this way of thinking is that students expect their grades to work this way, too.

Unfortunately, if you want to enter the PIN to watch a something as a family you have to ask the kids to leave the room/turn around/not watch because it’s super obvious what that number is as you enter it (on a TV, at least - this is likely not true for computers).

For guests, yes - the cloth napkin goes into the laundry after they use it. For the rest of us, we have napkin rings that are person-specific. So, when you’re done with your meal, you put your napkin back into the napkin ring. It goes into the wash when it gets dirty. That’s every couple of days for me, more

I HATE paper towels. Paper hand towels are no exception. However, if we are having multiple people over at the house, then I will have multiple terrycloth hand towels hanging in the bathroom, and when I’m in there, I will replace them all with new ones. I can toss them into a load of laundry easily enough, and one

For about 3 years I attended every single PTA meeting. I volunteered for everything. I did the book fair, I collected raffle prizes, I hung up signs, I cooked meals, I helped out in every way I could.
