It’s right there in your observation.  EA thought the whole thing was going to be a big deal and then all of a sudden it wasn’t.

How do you make it illegal to fire someone?

why does a game that flopped hard have so many current testers

Is tiktok for anything OTHER than pushing your OnlyFans?

It took about 10 seconds to discover that the blonde in the middle is pushing OnlyFans and bragging about the million she’s made there. I won’t bother with the rest, but it’s totally what’s happening (or what they want to happen, ultimately). Women may chime in because they’re bored on TikTok, but it’s just bait for

Maybe discussing the way they sell fake “trad wife” as the lure to bring men to their OnlyFans sites would be more interesting than pretending women are actually competing here?

Or all of Paul Verhoeven movies. To this day people still think Starship Troopers is a pro military movie when it clearly was satirical. Even it’s straight to video sequels forget this. It’s just like cops who use the punisher symbol. Punisher is clearly a vigilante.

It’s really what sucks about our culture. Copraganda is so strong in the US that the first movie’s cultural message flew over 99% of the viewerships heads.

Robocop is not a pro-cop movie. At least not the first one.

Nope. Fucking pass.

Yeah, it isn’t like movies appealing to broad family markets make any money! We should definitely expect all main-streaming comic book movies to be aimed at the all-important anti-natalist demographic!

Apparently. For those of you who don’t know, she said she was a monster AND can’t have kids. They were two separate thoughts. Both items are caused by being raised in the Red Room.

Well thats kind of how it is in real life. Almost everyone I know has kids.

They’re going to milk this incorrect assumption for all it’s worth. The righteous indignation is too irresistible to actually acknowledge that Black Widow did not remotely imply that she was a monster for not being able to have kids but who cares? It’s a good rage line.

I don’t know why you’re picking on Ant-Man, Scott’s relationship with his daughter has been a thing since the beginning of his first movie. iirc he was the only hero with a kid until they gave Stark one in Endgame.  As for the others, well I doubt we see the kid from L & T ever again. and while they gave Hulk a kid I

I mean... Ant Man didn’t “suddenly” have a kid.  She’s been in literally every one of these movies.  From an actual kid in the first one, to a slightly older version visiting Scott in the second, to a teen embracing him when he comes back in Endgame.  Like... she’s always been there.

The Internet has decided that a woman being sad she can’t have kids is bad

Yes, of course, why would media aimed at having broad mass appeal address the challenges and foibles of parenting, being parented, and family life?

I mean, it’s the same in the comics isn’t it? But speaking specifically to this all seeming to be happening around the same time: I’d suspect that, much like in videogames, the “daddening” is occuring where a lot of one generation of creators now have children that have reached adolescence and their worries or musings

They’re building up towards Young Avengers. This has been common knowledge for a long time now. It’s not complicated.
