The topic of Bates' forgery skills is a major plot point in the Christmas Special. Not to give anything away, but I think his expertise goes further back than the most recent prison stint. One doesn't become that much of an expert in that short an amount of time.

It unfortunately wasn't a very long one, but the Simpsons did spoof it a bit:

I would have insisted on wearing a bio-hazard suit and being de-loused immediately after he left the make-up chair. GROSS.

Watched the coverage live on BBC2, as I cannot stand NBC's tape delaying and commentary. I'm still skeeved out that they allowed a guy with a highly contagious infection into the studio at all, much less in front of a camera.

The site is very clear about when recaps go live. If you don't want to be privy to the contents, I have a very simple solution for you:

Yeah, you might want to rewatch the entire series. The totality of characteristics about him makes it damn obvious he's got an MO for offing people who threaten his way of life.

Looks like we've got ourselves a MRA badass chiming in.

Honestly, if they'd have let it be resolved Mary's way - where she takes charge and leverages Gillingham's affection for her to get what she wants - it would have been *so* much more satisfying. Then in series five, we could have had a brief scene with Mary passing by an indigent Green panhandling in London with a

Well…. yes and no. Part of what exonerated him in that plot involved something handwritten, correct? And we've seen once this season that Bates is an expert forger.

All signs point to yes. Especially when you factor in his ham-handed, "Oh crap! I forgot there's a big vat of rat poison in the house!"

You know, you don't have to click on posts, right?

Bear in mind, Bates also took a day trip the day before we learned of Vera's death, another person who he saw as an obstacle to his happiness with Anna. Of course, he returned with scratches on his face from that little journey.

The doggies should have been the top pick. That is all.

I cannot get Disqsux to work in Chrome - not just AV Club, but DListed, T&L, and many many other sites; nor will it display my dashboard. But I can get it to work in Opera (including the dashboard). I've seen some DLers say the same about Chrome not functioning, but others say it works for them, just not in other

Sinbad had the good sense never to appear on Fox News offering his political commentary. Advantage, Sinbad.

So this is what they air in between showings of "Great Movie Mistakes IV"?

I would add to Larry's good ideas, refusing to allow people too old to be trick or treating to try to bilk you out of candy.

Indeed. Or the "Curb" scene when Larry orders a Cobb Salad: "I'd like to make a few substitutions, if that's OK. I'll get… no bacon. No eggs. Bleu cheese on the side."

I wonder if that's why a friend once ordered a meatball sub at Subway "without the meatballs."

Didn't they buy Stumptown? Or was that Coffee People?
