Not all trucks are long-haul trucks. What Toyota is pointing out in the PR is that there are a huge number of trucks involved in taking cargo from ports to distribution centers, warehouses, etc. and between those kinds of facilities. Those trucks are concentrated in urban areas, which means the emissions problems are…
The auto industry was begging the government to slow down OBD-I and OBD-II because they knew that it would take improvements in lean burn technology to makes all the emission stuff work correctly.
the automakers would literally not do a single thing if regulation didnt force their hand. They have only innovated because they were forced to. They, and all extraction based industries will be happy to watch the world and hteir kids/grandkids live in a climate ravaged world so they can make some extra cash now.
The only way I can make sense of that is if there’s three seats in a row, and it’s just the middle seat in conflict. The problem with that theory is, I can’t recall ever seeing an airplane with more than two first-class seats together.
I don’t understand (or believe) Alaska Airlines’ explanation because if two couples we’re sold seats in the same section why did they only need one of their seats? What’s more, if both couples belonged in premium seats why even bother the two already seated passengers over this? If the airline overbooked, that’s not…
I remember reading that, went and found a source.

“Communities argue that the rich are getting richer and poor poorer,” Schtulmann told the news outlet, “so it’s social justice.”
I’m not a God-fearing man, but I thank Him every day I didn’t have Twitter when I was coming of age.
It’s common at bars in the US, not restaurants.
That would have to be done at a state by state level. Emissions enforcement isn’t federal.
Wait for it...wait for it.
These fucking morons going back and forth casually, keep contradicting each other, while seriously affecting automakers.
Good job.

Another Uber driver has committed suicide due to floundering Uber Medallion prices.
“The City Council’s Uber cap will leave New Yorkers stranded while doing nothing to prevent congestion, fix the subways and help struggling taxi medallion owners,” Josh Gold, a spokesman for Uber, told the Times.
Seems like a valuable lesson for both the parents and the kid:
