so they shouldn’t care because there’s enough of them? Are they required to go to the most immediate issue and ignore all others because you say so? Whales are there thing and that is what they are going to work on.

Fuck the Japanese whalers, fishery agency, or whoever the fuck is encouraging and allowing this to continue. There are so few whales left. I don’t care if it’s cultural, scientific (it’s clearly not), or whatever, that doesn’t trump keeping these species alive.
You know what? From this point on, I’ll read nothing else about season 4. I want to go into it the way I first went into Black Mirror years ago. I’m chasing that initial high again.
When I saw the header picture, I thought, “When did they cast Weaver in Star Wars?”
Replace her photos with Claudia Black..........If you have not already.
Saw this in theaters with my girlfriend. When he came onscreen I turned to her and excitedly said “OH MY GOD IT’S BEN BROWDER”. She said “... who?” I said “THE GUY FROM FARSCAPE.” She said “... what’s that?” I am single now.
I still wonder why Browder doesn’t get more work. He fits pretty well in that Nathan Fillion, Joel McHale everyman badass niche and Farscape’s versatile material proved that he’s an absolutely incredible actor. But it feels like he’s been consigned to bit parts and side roles for a decade now.
Farscape is easily one of the most underrated science fiction shows of the last 20 years. In fact he might have taken more lessons from it on showing how a group of dissimilar people become a family.
Okay, let’s just call this show what it is:
The mustache didn’t bother me during the battle, but I laughed out loud when we flashed back to ancient Greece and he still had it.
Damn straight. Utopia may not be possible, but that’s no reason to stop working for a better world and slide into nihilism or messianic fantasy (which is even more depressing than nihilism in some ways.) Things only get better if we work at it.
Amen! Star Trek is only a lie if we let it become one!
Top Five Missing from These Lists:
Except for all the novels I’ve read and still loved this one.
My frustration is that when it’s video, it’s harder to find ways to credit/link to the cosplayer. I really liked a few of the outfits, would like to know more about the people who put them together/wore them! They used to be good about linking to the people, but with this as video, I don’t see them being able to do…
San Diego is a great place for cosplay. It’s hot and humid in Chicago and I am sweating just looking at some of those costumes, even in air conditioning.
So. . . no pictures? Lame.
I feel like someone wanted to make a Shadowrun movie, but didn’t have the rights to Shadowrun so they called it Bright instead.
The Brony effect, AKA “A franchise that is overwhelmingly popular with girls but the media only pays attention to a loud minority of male fans?”
I don’t know that I’d call Take Shelter a sci-fi piece, but it’s the lack of Attack the Block that I find distressing.
