Thing is, much as I love them, almost no comics age well. Try to read the stuff you loved fifteen or twenty years ago, and mostly all you see is the artifice. I adored Moonshadow in my youth but find it awkward now. Of the Vertigo stuff I loved in the nineties, only Sandman and some Hellblazer really holds me now —
