The disconnect between seasons 1 and 2 was so jarring. I mean, it didn’t happen all at once, but their insistence on downplaying Abbie really hurt the show in noticable ways. And then bringing in new characters, which would’ve been okay (I guess) if they’d maintained the strong core of the pair.
