I love it when I see something in the odeck make it to the actual article section (especially when kudos are delivered).
@Belabras: I think that's to be hoped of really pretty much any genre show. I want to except Fringe, but I daren't get my hopes up.
@Kitsune-Hazard: Marvel is a Disney subsidiary... Just saying.
@Aurangzeb: Fringe's is what it should be. Just the one apostrophe, before the s. And preferably not italicised, but that's getting into true pikery. *grin*
Now it's "Fringe's's Olivia" — extra apostrophe-s.
I would watch this show avidly, if it's done in the same flavor and vein as the comics, and not overly "cleaned up" for TV. I mean, they'd obviously have to gloss over some of the heavier elements, but for the most part this could translate well.
@LittleDragon: Yeah and sometimes in those situations clothes become optional as well. It's a weird sort of full-circle thing.
@LittleDragon: Couldn't say - never tried the IRC channel. I would imagine there's greater possibility of actual physical contact, however.
@LittleDragon: Haha. It's sort of like what we do here on the Internet, only more immersive and it's a little harder to ignore stupid and/or obnoxious people.
@LittleDragon: I'm down, so long as movie night is some other night than tonight, tomorrow, or Sunday.
@FrankN.Stein: Wow, that's shocking to me for some reason. But also awesome. I love Stephen King's work, and I don't care who knows it or what they think about it.
He lost me with "jigowatts". Prior to that, I was faintly amused by the premise, but that just blew the whole thing.
@LittleDragon: Agreed. I'm starting to want to watch and read them (respectively) again. It's been a while.
@hdgotham (Hannah Wilson): HA HA HA HA HA HA
@LittleDragon: You. +5. And a high five to boot.
@FrankN.Stein: King coined this? Really? How did I not know this?
@The5thElephant: Hahaha I like the example you use in the end.
@GeneralBattuta: I can agree with the broad sentiment of your first statement. That does not, however, mean that the datum in question is more or less true. Conclusions are formed from data. People having different information than each other will come, in many cases if not all, to different conclusions, even on the…
@GeneralBattuta: Not trying to be a jerk on this — I honestly want to get your viewpoint on this — for my own edification, not to be argumentative or aggro.
