So Time Warner became the Crimson King in the 80s. That's perfect. Gave them 19 years to get strong enough to go after the Stephen King.

It could work, I suppose. But I don't see it as a viable franchise. Not without significantly changing the story — or going off the reservation altogether and doing a story in the same universe but different characters.
