@RandomThought: I'm not saying those properties didn't rock and aren't classic. Just that before the X-Men, I can't think of many examples of people who inherently have their powers. Everyone else is an alien or a god, or they had "an accident". Then along comes the concept of "mutant" and it opened doors.

@hitmouse: Kinda thought of that but I haven't seen enough of the show to know for sure (I want to, though - it's on my queue). But that seems to be being played as a drama and I'm talking about an adventure show.

@brandon16: I don't disagree, necessarily. It just seems like the focus is all banjaxed 90% of the time and the end result is "Superman is a lame character".

@Laserlips: I remember that mini, yeah. I think I missed a couple issues though. :/

@Ebylon: I was thinking the same thing and hating myself for it.

"Breaking Dawn

@slevine001: It can and is to a degree; as I understand it, Sahara is attractive because it's big and that nobody's using it for anything. Apparently. I don't know - haven't done due diligence so most of my data is random nuggets and half-assed conjecture. *grin*

@lordkyellan: There is actually an initiative putting something like this in place in Palm Desert. A relative of mine is involved in this. They've already got a solar farm in place that has been a not-insignificant energy provider for the past... I think it's 15 years? And now they're looking to expand and bring it up

These make me want to re-read the Night Watch books again.

Meh. I've had it up to here with vampires. Werewolves and witches I suppose I'm okay with. But my very lack of enthusiasm and only borderline interest is not a good sign.

@Polybius: I keep meaning to pick that damned thing up. Thanks for reminding me that I have failed. Hahaha!

@Pookasydi: If you're talking about the Electric Boogaloo Superman — that was a debacle because they made it stupid (on purpose, I might add).

@sleap: I like that. That sounds cool. And yes, I remember the 90s all too well.

@mordicai: You mean that specific issue, or the various series in general? Because I do read the comics now and then, but it has been I think at least six months since I properly followed any of it.

@cadrina: Right, because that's exactly what happened on the set of Batman.
