No later than about season 10 of The Simpsons.

The commercials?

Just seriously Quinnough.

It is, hence the name.

We happen to right now be in the time of year when all three of those teams are playing (and anyway, many real sports fans will talk about their teams all year round). And it doesn't have to be hot outside to be hot inside.

I'll say it: Last week's episode of Whitney was indeed good television. Not great, and certainly not good enough to make the show good overall, but the episode was good.

I still like the show plenty, but this episode really took all of its flaws and thrust them into the spotlight. There was so much telling-not-showing that it almost devolved into self-parody, what's-his-face continues to engage in history's least interesting espionage, the family drama is silly and distracting, and

@avclub-ffc3460c431f41282064dc7acdd70797:disqus : I'll keep that Quinn mind.

Quinnty intense.

This review is pretty intense.

Well, not THAT stupid. But yes, stupid.

I also heard "cornered", which does make sense as a lame "character obliviously explains why his plan is stupid" joke, but "quartered" would have been better, since it's something I could actually imagine Mr. Burns saying there. So let's go with that.

Given its placement in the paragraph, I took your comment about proper care to be referring to "food" and other industrial animals, not to the horses on Luck. The former were almost all treated cruelly (at least as I would define it) at some point in their short lives, and probably a majority of them were treated

Indeed, much less of one.

Tens of thousands of animals were killed today across the world either for food or while being used in some kind of industry.

We have a fucked up relationship with animals in this country.

Well, those of us who are me are revolted by it.

@avclub-9b7b0109c992b2904b1cb4640cebc223:disqus , we cannot agree. Monopoly may be deeply flawed, but it has a certain elegance and purity, and most of its haters aren't playing it right (I don't just mean the awful house rules that pointlessly randomize and lengthen an admittedly already chance-filled and lengthy

Yeah, Germany has given the world many wonderful nerdy board games, and also the atrocious Monopoly-wannabe abomination that is Settlers of Catan.

And it sucks.
