So sad. Hope the cop gets charged. It's nice that the mother is dealing with it surprisingly well, but it's unacceptable for someone that jumpy to be in a position using firearms. And he should be punished for assaulting an innocent compliant child with a deadly weapon.
Not surprised it is considered an officer involved shooting since he's not employed as one anymore. Seems like a pretty open and shut case assuming the article and what info it's based on is accurate.

3ds and wii also had emulated versions of a bunch of them. Also all gone. But they have previously offered more than they do now. But they really want those bucks for the Nintendo online service and it's expansion pack.
Wouldn't be surprised if Disney would sue over watching Song of the South. But I imagine it's pretty hard to find since it never had a full home release (I think some of the cartoon shorts in it got re-released in the 80's).
They likely don't think it's profitable enough. But remember this is nintendo we are talking about. They hate resales too. And if someone is playing thier game, they want to have made money from it, even if they don't value it enough to re-release or port it (heck, if they could get a cut from Ebay sales they would).
That’s more about control of a licensed product then the control Nintendo is exercising here. And it’s not uncommon (I forget where but I’ve heard about licensed video games and RPGs doing that before and I don’t think it was a Star Trek one).
? You realize printing disc’s, packaging and shipping have a cost, right? So does porting or emulating them (mostly in human cost thier).
It’s not frivolous. The law protects that (DVD ripping software had similar suits that they lost) and Nintendo would probably win.
They could potentially circumvent them. But that would require code written for specific games. So probably much more clear and easy lawsuit on seperate things (i.e. instead of just allowing and sharing a key, you now showed you helped specifically play those games).
Eh. With the way Patents work for computer code, as long as they describe it in function terms (i.e. this function takes these values and some basic details and returns this) they might be in the clear. The issue is when you start directly copying code. Google and Oracle had a lawsuit about it over Android.
Thier was a lawsuit in the 80's between Nintendo and a 3rd party that didn’t want to pay Nintendo the (quite high price) for cartridges. I believe they requested docs from the patent office and that screwed thier case. Pretty sure the judge basically said if they had reverse engineered the protection chip themselves…
They also made thier own equivalent of the bios instead of importing Sony’s.
“Man, fuck the investigation! I’m tired of all the delay with shit like this. If I crash a forklift into s shelf or pallet and it gets caught on video, I’m basically toast.”
I like that as a nick name for him.
Absolutely. I just wanted to make it clear that I wasn't saying going after the cop who shot the kid was wrong.
That is fucked up (the shooting I mean).
So is this what would be considered a vernacular dictionary (like if there was one specifically on “American” English as opposed to all English)? Seems awesome regardless. Always great to see something Dr. Gates is doing.
“begin issuing a “commemorative certificate of miscarried child” as a vital record collected by the state.”
