Ditto - but I believe the touchless near me use recycled water, so it’d blast the DOT’s salt solution (somewhat diluted) up into the car as well.

How do you wash a car you care about in the winter?
After CT switched from salt/sand to a liquid mix 12 years ago, winter crashes with injuries dropped by almost 20%... but damage to cars shot up. Now they put down liquid sodium chloride ahead of storms. It stays wet on the cars - and for an added benefit, a lot of car washes don’t filter it out. They filter grit and…
Just read your post after posting the same thing. This was my situation - same interest rate and within a couple thousand of purchase cost.
1.9% on half the cost of a CPO Jeep was a great deal and made a lot more sense than cash up front, even though I could have done that. When dealers offer interest rates lower than what you’d make investing the money, you should really look at it.
Counterpoint: NO.
Trump won’t get involved in Ukraine. Has he done anything that wasn’t helpful to Russia? A few token sanctions on people is all I’ve seen. Pulling out of Syria was a massive boon to Russia. Huge.
I would have happily thanked you both - hot damn, now I know what I’m making for NYE.
My grandfather’s ‘69 Rambler had these. They would absolutely hurt your ears if they whistled like his. He was half deaf and it didn’t bother him, but holy crap did it suck to go on a long drive in that thing. And you’d finally get it to close just right and get 20 seconds of peace.. then it’d come back.
Nah, it’d look weird between my modified JK and S2000. Both of which are absolutely quiet at highway speeds. Oh. Wait. I see what you did there.
Suffrin’ Succotash!
Oh. Yay. I was just thinking that I wish my car had something that’d create an incessant whistle at highway speeds but be impossible to align just right to prevent.
First question was weird but not too creepy. That reply moved it well into creepy territory.
I bought an S2000 off of BAT this year and transporting it was super easy. Local PPI was easy too, but I took the risk of skipping it, based on seller interaction and auction presentation. Being polite & assertive (emphasis on polite) really made it all work.
Thanks for the recap. Amid the flurry of year-in-review posts/articles/news stories, yours is one I actually look forward to.
I was talking for personal/friend use, not making money with it. Gah, I’d never want to try to run a business like that.
When I looked at the lead in picture and saw the $800,000 cost, the first thing that went through my head was that this was not insane money for a house/property to me and that I could demo the bleachers area and build a nice house there. And the track could be my driveway/hobby. Except in New England, the pavement…
Jalopnik should have a $30/year no ad version. Or whatever$/year.
The car in the lead isn’t racing to the finish line. It’s fleeing the risk of damage.
