That’s nice. I had to uninstall it as I couldn’t devote the majority of an SSD to a game I played rather sparingly. I may go back and reinstall it now.

The fact that you don’t see the problem shows your privilege.
Look, I have no dog in the fight - I don’t play the game, never have, don’t think I ever will, but goddamn is this kind of performative game bashing pathetic.
Now, with a revenue model built around harpooning hapless space whales to the tune of thousands of dollars, for the right to “own” concept art of imaginary spaceships,
The only thing I laugh about Star Citizen for is how gamers held it up as the “gold standard” after the “disaster” that was No Man’s Sky, and that games funded by gamers would lead to an accountability sorely lacking in the industry!
see, the lesson you should have learned is that you could raise millions of dollars from rubes to develop those pencil cases yourself over the course of like 10 years
lol.
Here’s a little story.
Star Citizen is like Elon Musk: there’s obviously something wrong going on here, but an a fanatical online contingent will rake you over the coals for pointing it out.
Still waiting on The Church of Star Citizen to emerge out of all of this.
In the early 2010’s, I was caught up in the hype, bought in for a specific pirating ship model (the Cutlass) because of talks about tractor beams, docking rings, pvp ship boarding, ship mass and handling, thruster location, gunner pod fields of view, cargo capacity, etc etc... I’m their target sucker, I didn’t care if…
Stuns me people still defend this and will pony up more.
No wait, people will go to any length to not admit being duped.
I was super excited for this... (wow!) nine years ago. Now, with a revenue model built around harpooning hapless space whales to the tune of thousands of dollars, for the right to “own” concept art of imaginary spaceships, that they can’t even fly in the incredibly limited alpha solar system they’ve made available,…
Star Citizen is what people think Cyberpunk was.
Whatever you do, don’t complain about the bugs in-game. Everyone will immediately jump down your throat about it being an alpha test and that you shouldn’t complain because the game isn’t done yet!
Good advice but keep in mind this was written by a person who works for Jim Spanfeller.
I’m sure you’re different
Honestly? look at them. They’re lame white boys wearing basketball shorts and baseball caps. Not a goddamn one of them has a chance of having sex with anyone and has the small-time, small-dick energy of the average dead-end job worker. No possible discernable talents besides “knows when card vendors deliver product”…
Walmart can't do that, they used all their locked up aisles for products primarily purchased by black people. They aren't really subtle.
This is tough for me. I’m an adoptee, from one of her orphanages. So, this idea of her as a saint was a huge foundational belief throughout my childhood/teenage years. My parents still lay my survival (abandoned at a MofC chapter house in Western India) squarely at her feet.
