Unless those bras are custom made , that much for bras is a definite ripoff. But bra materials today are way stretchier than in the past, so using the old +4 system is just going to leave you with a too-big band and too-small cup.

Wires popping out or snapping usually happens if you're wearing the wrong size (usually too big a band and too small a cup). All the rubbing and movement doesn't help. It used to happen to me all the time.

I'd also like to add the "why didn't they adopt?" posts.
