Yayyy I did it! :D
Yayyy I did it! :D
There’s a manga based on the game that delves a bit further into the moral dilemma. When Link realizes what his quest actually entails he quits immediately, even trying to leave the island on a raft with Marin (of course, he fails at this). It takes a lot of convincing for him to decide to go through with it. They end…
They’re real, sentient, thinking and feeling beings, living happy lives inside the dream of a god, and by waking up said god, you’ve murdered every single person you met on that island. Congratulations. You won.
Honestly I think this is just internet people being overly salty and sensitive, as usual.
I think when $62k is defined as “significant financial harm” instead of “financial ruin” then you’re not going to notice $1k a week go missing. I’m also assuming this person makes 10x what the average family does considering that they were referenced by parliament.
Shit, I’d notice within 12 hours or so. Thankfully, I have no kids so now it’s my own shame I need to live with when I splurge*.
How exactly invisible does your child or finances have to be to have them spend $1000 a week on something and not notice it almost immediately in your account?
Awful comparison. It would be more like a museum handing out free 3D-printed copies of dinosaur bones.
This is the only comment that needed to be made here.
As Kurt Vonnegut said, we must be careful who we pretend to be.
I thought it was a great idea seeing gamestops transitioning to a game merch focus, but last time I was at one it was wall to wall Funko Pops + a bit of other merch + some games. Basically it didn’t really have what I was looking for.
Meanwhile I go to a general media shop next door, with a way more friendly atmosphere…
True story. My mom went in to GameStop many years ago when GTA3 was out and I wanted it for Christmas. She went up to the clerk and said “I think it’s a game about law enforcement.” He knew exactly what she meant.
ThinkGeek was, at least in my opinion, a pretty cool little niche e-tailer for nerd stuff. It never needed to be blown up into a nationwide physical presence at some shitty video game retailer that wasn’t able to stay relevant in their market space.
I keep wondering how long it will be before Barnes & Noble and Gamestop merger back together.
as the internet/Amazon rose up and took over, game shops found themselves becoming the place where your aunt or grandad buys you a game for your birthday. That wasn’t enough to sustain them, so they’ve tried to become the place your aunt or grandad buys you some Fortnite tat for your birthday. Well, guess what? Aunts…
Most corporate execs are so far removed from real life, all their decisions are idiotic but they don't care as long as they get profits
During the call, GameStop touted 95% of their stores are profitable. So, they’re closing the 4% of their current stores which are currently unprofitable. I can only theorize roughly 1% of their stores are effectively break even locations. I would also theorize those break even stores will be the next ones on the…
Gamestop execs have always been idiots.
Considering every gamestop i walk into has mountains of clearance funko pops and other collectible plastic junks covering half the store, I could never see this coming.
Listen...this obviously sucks for all the people who are going to lose their jobs. I genuinely do feel for all of them and I hope they all land on their feet and find gainful employment elsewhere.
That said, Gamestop sucks and I will not shed a single tear for their slow demise. At this point, they’re little more than…
