I think when $62k is defined as “significant financial harm” instead of “financial ruin” then you’re not going to notice $1k a week go missing. I’m also assuming this person makes 10x what the average family does considering that they were referenced by parliament.

I thought it was a great idea seeing gamestops transitioning to a game merch focus, but last time I was at one it was wall to wall Funko Pops + a bit of other merch + some games. Basically it didn’t really have what I was looking for.

True story. My mom went in to GameStop many years ago when GTA3 was out and I wanted it for Christmas. She went up to the clerk and said “I think it’s a game about law enforcement.” He knew exactly what she meant.

ThinkGeek was, at least in my opinion, a pretty cool little niche e-tailer for nerd stuff. It never needed to be blown up into a nationwide physical presence at some shitty video game retailer that wasn’t able to stay relevant in their market space.

Considering every gamestop i walk into has mountains of clearance funko pops and other collectible plastic junks covering half the store, I could never see this coming.
