For a community that’s fighting for acceptance and inclusion, they sure seem to be taking a page from the people they say are oppressing them.
I would take you less time to Google why Rowling is transphobic than it took you to type out this comment, much less expect someone to reply to it.
Honestly, Rowling’s supporters really love their double standards. They’ll go out of their way to proclaim every Harry Potter project to be the greatest creative work in the history of the universe just because their idol’s name is attached to it, but then the moment someone has something negative to say, they demand…
Separate the art from the artist
Separate the art from the artist
You cant separate the art from the artist when the ‘art’ is what keeps her relevant and influential enough to promote transphobia on a massive scale.
The irony is disgusting.
hmmm, interesting comparison, although I think that George Lucas explicitly selling the franchise to Disney (he still gets royalties??) could hypothetically softer the impact a lot more. It would amount to Disney doing some damage control, and further emphasizing how separate GL is from SW, I think.
Its not, but that aside, labor will never be the same. You’re seeing it here and the people boohooing are the folks who can’t get labor.
People got a break from the bullshit, and they don’t want to go back. Nothing wrong with that.
Actually, it’s not. But thanks for playing.
Be less stupid when you post.
The problem with this idea is, the best devs will have no problem finding an equal or better paying job WFH in this market. The ones who will come back to the office to stay forever will be the ones who knows they can’t find an equal paying wfh gig elsewhere because they aren’t great at their job. Not shocking, they…
All the comments and no answer.
For those wondering, its on the CW, and hosted by Aisha Tyler. It’s quite a bit more racy with the sexual innuendo jokes than when it used to air on ABC(?).
((Except for Mystery Incorporated.))
That might be the meaning she assigns her royalty checks but it’s not necessarily the reality of things. Not everyone - in fact I would dare to say it’s the vast majority - do not think twice about the artist when purchasing a book, a game, or going to a movie.
She’s already fabulously wealthy so it’s hardly as if she gives a shit anymore anyways.
It’s very easy activism. You don’t have to do anything. Just don’t buy a game.
