Man, I missed that amidst all the other layoff stories. I knew it was likely a pipe dream, but I was hoping against hope we’d still manage to squeak out a sequel to the game, since it seems have earned a solid reputation from the people (like me) who played it and loved it, even though it didn’t come close to hitting

I suspect - and this is pure speculation here - that in Beyond The Spider-Verse, Miles will discover that he’s not the unique “aberration” or whatever that Spidey 2099 thinks he is.... that Miles is, in fact, the future of Spider-Man across the multiverse and that the comics and Insomniac versions both exist (plus

To be fair, people forget that when Iron Man was first announced, there were a lot of comics fans concerned that Marvel’s first movie wasn’t Hulk or someone like Captain America, non-Spider-Man/X-Men characters who had made it into the collective consciousness. Most people knew RDJ, but non-comics fans didn’t really

I was only passively aware of One Piece prior to the Netflix show. I haven’t finished the LA season yet, but so far I’m really enjoying it, weirdness and kooky aesthetics and all. It’s making me want to go out and get familiar with either the manga and/or anime... I’m leaning towards the manga, since I can’t seem to

Maybe that AI opening credit sequence was a lot more expensive than anyone realized.

For me, both movies were enjoyable (to a point - good grief - just pick a hero name already so the comics can finally pretend they decided, too), but neither made me want to watch them multiple times.

I missed this story. Who was that?

Was I the only one who thought Fury’s comment to Sonya (Olivia Colman) about how “Skrulls like the cold” was played less about him revealing his marriage to a Skrull and more of a “plants doubts in Sonya’s mind about whether Fury is a Skrull or not”? I read her stare at Fury as the latter after he said that, since

Agreed, but also, I think the “kid” actors are way underrated for their performances on Yellowjackets. They definitely deserve some Emmy love, and I’d go so far as to say they’re doing just as good, if not better, than their adult counterparts in terms of acting.

Looking at the The Bear episode that was nominated for writing, I’m guessing only season 1 was eligible this year.

No Balthier from FF XII??  This list is horribly flawed ;)

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification.  I’ll freely admit that I definitely don’t know the ins and outs of how it all works.

I understand that there are always costs to streaming a show and can appreciate that perspective, but what makes the current circumstances more alarming to me is that shows/movies are getting yanked from streamers:

Ahh, it’s the old “This doesn’t personally impact me; therefore, this must not be a real problem, so I’ll just make fun of it instead” reply. Gotta love those.

If there’s actually an old fashioned theme song (e.g. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Wandavision), I’m more apt to watch it every week even if it doesn’t change. If it’s just a bland instrumental like 90% of them are now (including Secret Invasion), yeah, I’ll probably skip it going forward. Very few of them are memorable any

Coincidentally, I just finished my first watch of the first season yesterday, and after seeing this, I’m really excited to watch season 2 in real time.

Happy to see Captain Mrs. McMurray back, though.

I was fine getting online to play this past weekend, too, but I had to wonder...

I’m still completely blown away by how great this game has turned out to be, rough edges and all. It’s a shame more people aren’t experiencing and enjoying this game, because I’d love to see what a more polished sequel could produce

... the first f-bomb until Deadpool makes his official MCU debut.
