Can’t say I blame them

You know why though right?

Looks like they killed off Jeffrey Jones. Certainly can’t blame them.

Goddamn you for posting a documentary I haven’t seen in decades and now must drop everything I’m doing to watch in the middle of my work afternoon. And thank you ;)

I’ve had snake. It was fine. I wouldn’t have it again, not because it tasted bad or gross, it just wasn’t very memorable. Even while eating it, it was all about the novelty. Underwhelming really. I want to say it tasted like chicken but truthfully I don’t really remember what it tasted like. I’m sure if farmed/sourced

I couldn’t resist looking her up to confirm whether or not she is indeed a sociopathic billionaire. Discovered she’s... a bereavement counselor. I am not making this up.

I’ve found that historically, the larger the fruit, the blander it is. That seems to have taken a turn more recently — I used to avoid large strawberries but am noticing now even the large ones can taste pretty good. It still holds true for me with grapes and yes, I believe blueberries. But perhaps farmers are finally

I don’t know if any business model would have saved it from the rise of supermarket hot food/deli options. I could be wrong but I don’t recall roast chicken or mashed potatoes or mac & cheese being standard supermarket items growing up; they sure as hell are now.

I think there are lots of reasons for the push, chief among them the overcommitment to overhead (as you noted), a backdoor for shedding staff without signaling to the Street that you need to shed staff, and FOMO from executives who see other executives force RTO and are terrified of being perceived by investors as inef

At this point, most roles at most tech companies can be performed remotely. Meaning, if there’s some kind of forced RTO policy, it’s a sure sign of either a toxic work culture, incompetent management, or likely both.

Get ready for all the jealous takes from all the weird bootlickers climaxing over the idea of strangers who were comfortably working from home now being miserable and forced into the office.

I’m not going to defend anything Lemon has said or done outside of this interview, but the interview itself was pretty good. Lemon directly pressed Musk on several topics and Musk comes off looking completely unprepared to defend the indefensible shit he’s said and stances he’s taken, overly sensitive, and

I don’t really see an issue with this.

I’d like to know what constitutes “far right” and “far left” in this case, particularly the latter. Is it like “get a load of these weirdos demanding government-sponsored healthcare and a living wage”?

With a comment like that you better hope it isn’t.

I have been reading this site so long my brain has been scrambled. I can’t tell anymore what’s snark, what’s “sarcasm”, what’s a hot take, and what’s just pop culture knowledge I’ve aged out of. The prequels are now “once despised”? And that’s hard to believe? They are still dog shit in my book.

Now playing

Reminds me of this video I saw recently:

This has been known for decades. One of the best sources of information I’ve read on the subject was High and Mighty: The Dangerous Rise of the SUV, published in... 2004.

Trying to imagine the next level epic meltdown had this occurred with Markle.

Who knows what the hell else is going to fall off
