It’s a dumb theory BUT I do have to point out that we do now have IRL numerous TTRPGs based on the premise of basically Stranger Things as a campaign setting i.e. Kids on Bikes, at least one Call of Cthulhu scenario I’m aware of, and I’m sure other shit out there.
