Agreed. I do not understand why so many journalists have been talking up the interior of the EQS as if it’s the pinnacle of interior design.

Counter Point - It’s awesome.

I feel like BMW and MB are trying to differentiate their electric cars from ICE models, by making the electric ones unnecessary ugly

I don’t understand how they made an interior that looks this tacky and has such obvious poor usability. It’s unappealing and off-putting in so many ways that I wouldn’t expect.

It’s 2022, everyone else has figured out your climate controls need physical controls with tactile feedback. You can’t Tesla-fy your climate

Mercedes is in a class of its own quality-wise when it comes to interiors, but I have to agree that this is way too busy and way too much “screen” than is tasteful or necessary. It’s not as bad as covering everything in plastic like in the ‘90s/early ‘00s, but it’s getting close.

Mercedes’ EV designs are extremely generic. They just don’t have the same class as their ICE vehicles, and I can’t put my finger on why that is.

Please someone make her a commercial pilot. I need to see her board a plane in a pilots uniform with a seeing eye dog and a white cane. Make sure she wanders through the plane all the way to the back, then turns around and walks right into the cockpit.

Well, it looks better relatively speaking, still would never buy one

its no longer a automotive journalism site, its a soap box for the woke

This is the type a shit that doesn’t need to be included in posts

Is it the people whos stealing stuff the problem?

The ‘70s were a weird time and cocaine is a hell of a drug, but Don Knotts endorsing a pick-up truck is just plain bizarre.

Ohhh yes this is one of the first cars I fell in love with as a small child. How could you not love that sleek shape in that sharp red paint with those fat fenders and gold wheels?! It was the star car in a Canadian movie called Josh and S.A.M. that we rented from the nearby gas station, I watched it a lot and don’t

One star for your reference to Alfas

I usually open the door first, unless I’m feeling rowdy, then I do the Dukes of Hazzard slide across the hood, then jump in through the window.

This is easily one of the ugliest cars I’ve ever seen. A top three turd, definitely.

The “Cypress Green” color of the car in the lead photo is perfect. I wish Toyota would offer that across its lineup.

I get that but like.... they couldn’t have moved it to the center console like Mazda, or just left of the HVAC controls? That bezel looks yucky.
