Exactly right. The P72 may be one of the most attractive vehicles ever created... but P900 cheapens the design while expensiving the price (word trademarked, in case any finance types want to start using it).

Had Saab not been Do-Do’d, the current generation 9-3 rear would have looked like the Accord’s. Familial resemblance, and I write that as a compliment to the Accord.

The current one looks blobby and unstable.  New one is a HUGE improvement.  Actually looks good!

I found the yearly sales figures on goodcarbadcar... holy crap what a steep dropoff. I’m actually surprised Honda kept the Element around for as long as they did (and I, like you, am a fan of the car)

DOZENS was hyperbole. But the business reasons remain. This thing for example - Honda should have sold 120K per year at bare ass minimum for the Element to make sense. Right size, right price, sweet spot in the market. Instead it’s barely moving 30K examples per year of a mass market car. That hardly covers the water…

I like the cars on this list for the most part... but also for the most part this is a list of cars that sold literally DOZENS in a country of 400 million people. Virtually every one of them was cancelled for the correct business reasons.

Big styling improvement with the refresh - the Escape currently on the roads looks like a Playmobil toy, with those simplistic headlights and zero-effort design.

Never mind the Montreal.   At the price they’re offering the Grenadier, there will be no freebies.  Wow, that’s an unexpectedly low price for a niche vehicle.

Collin Woodard, you’re the wind beneath my wings with your suggestion. It’s not yet released in the U.S., but the Grenadier is already and obviously the coolest car since the original Defender.

I’ll take three, please.
