Agreed. Same with Chevy. Equinox vs Equinox EV. Blazer vs Blazer EV.

Actual physical buttons and knobs. I don’t want haptic feedback. I don’t want to slide across a screen to figure out how to turn volume down or temperature up. VW’s and Tesla’s offerings were something I considered as my next car... until seeing the interiors. If you’re too futuristic to keep physical feedback as part…
Rather nice, but I’d still prefer this one: Jalopnik Jetta
Does anyone on Jalopnik actually understand how inflation works? All these RAH RAH articles about “free” or reduced price train tickets as if this wasn’t exactly part of the contributors to inflation. C’mon, peeps, delve a little deeper, instead of just regurgitating politicians’ talking points? Otherwise, just start a…
Mine too! But I’ll take a 110 4 door in camel or sage green.
Who doesn’t love a final generation Defender? Looks that will age well for another century, terrible ride, and a multitude of fantastic colors. Bonus smile for utility wheels. (Current generation is NOT a Defender)
The Lyrique SUV’s have a very similar rear. They’re all over town, pre-production samples, and the rear is horrendously ugly in real life. Looks awkward from every single angle. People like it now, for 5 minutes, because it’s different, but by next year they’ll be bitching about how that rear does not age well.
It’s still a massive jump. If they’re buying the kitted out $45K version of the current one, then it will still be another ten thousand up for them, since the kitted out version of the EV will be $55.
So regular folks are going to switch from a $35K ICE Blazer to a $45K electric Blazer, just like that?
I’ve seen a few of these on the road with manufacturer plates. Whatever else you like or don’t about the vehicle, you will be very angry at Cadillac for making you watch that rear over the next decade or so. Terribly ugly.
To watch the 20 seconds video you have to first sit through a 30 second non-skippable ad.
And THAT deserves a “Murica!”
Douchebaggery is a universal human trait. Nothing uniquely American about it. I guarantee that ancient Mayan or pre-written history Assyrian both have a similar word to describe a similar person.
Absolutely NOT the Hummer - that just screams “douchebag” in several regions and languages.
As usual, outstanding material to get our research started. I’m glad you’re writing for Jalopnik.
Pure magic, but Ohio’s reputation is built on the ugliness of Toledo and the I75 corridor. I didn’t figure out what you know until just a few years ago. Hocking Hills, any road leading west from Chagrin Falls (Calvin!!). etc. I couldn’t believe the discrepancy between stereotype and reality for Ohio. Hell, leave…
Good work with the reverse psychology. Might keep the roads a little less congested! Those horrible terrible NC side roads with nothing to see.
Every single stinking state that’s not an East Coast state has the best driving roads. “Best” does not need to signify just one. The big caveat is to get off the highways. Michigan nasty suburbs? Go north on side roads through the farmlands and get some dust on your car. Ohio is flat and ugly? Take a small road…
