To pwn the libs.

Inconsiderate is one thing, but these assholes do it deliberately. It “triggers the libs” and that is their primary objective. These groups actively set out to find places to cause damage to cause outrage.

Thank you for your assurance. I fear it is based on ignorance and unearned confidence, but thanks regardless.

Brad,

Half as bad as the gasoline powered cars that are (so called) destroying the environment isn’t really a huge improvement.

Machines don’t get drunk.

I think it’s pretty useful. Range matters when you’re going somewhere far away, usually on a highway where you’re likely to maintain constant speed.

They’re really only useful to help prevent you spreading germs from coughing or sneezing (and even then it’s not completely effective). They do almost nothing to prevent you from getting sick.

It’s because they are intended to be worn when you are already sick, to prevent spreading it further. They are worn by surgeons to prevent them from breathing out any contamination into their sterile environment. It’s not meant to prevent infection really, unless maybe to protect someone from sneezing directly into

It may be because SuperCruise is only available to use on a small subset of pre-programmed routes. They would use it more if they could.

People are betting overall that Tesla will continue to grow by huge leaps.

“Do you think other automakers should be more “fairly” valued among tech companies and Tesla, or do you think Tesla’s valuation needs to be cut back down to size to match closer to the other automakers?”

And yet you seemed to fit very comfortably in a 2-D pane of glass with a couple other people, Zod. Get over it.

There were also innocent children on board. I have no problem with adults dying because of their own stupidity, but I do take issue with saying “good, a child died.”

EVs get greener the longer they are on the road. Electricity generation is phasing Coal out with Nat Gas, both of those are being displaced by Wind and Solar, both of which have made up the majority of new generation coming online worldwide the last few years.

No... An EV powered by fossil fuel grid still produces about half the emissions of an average US-market ICE car.

I agree in some ways, but they really are cleaner. The environmental impact comes when they’re generated, but not while they’re running. I’ve recently posed this same argument and learned that batteries are so freaking recyclable now, that they’re getting at least a 25% recycle rate. It might be more, or less... I’m

Short answer, no they are not going to be worse.

Batteries don’t go in the landfill. Once they’re out of the car, they get used for stationary energy storage, and after that, every component gets recycled.

1) Battery refurbishing or reprocessing

2) Barring that, it’s better that the waste go into a landfill, which is sequestered from our environment, than our atmosphere.
