Tesla is valued like a tech company because they are growing like a tech company, and they do not have the liabilities of traditional car companies (pensions, etc).

Elon Musk doesnt give a crap about wallstreet analysts, he only cares about the sucess of his companies (that have his name attached to them). I dont blame them. Analysts for far too long have only cared about weekly profit and not long term gains.
