That may be true, but let’s not call each other’s feelings about being marginalized ridiculous, okay? We all get to feel the way we feel about this awful shit.

I’m firmly against this move, but it’s because I’m firmly against the draft regardless of gender.
If we are still going to have such an antiquated system as the draft, it only makes sense in the name of fairness to require women to sign up for the draft as well.
Trumpers have tried to use this to get me to see the error of my (liberal) ways
Are they gonna bring back Roseanne?
Side note: Democratic panelists on cable new shows will have to apologize for him until the year 2060 and beyond if Robert Byrd is any indication, while GOP poo-flingers will benefit from “both sides” mendacity. Holy shit cable news for another 45 years. What the hell. Go, climate change!
Instead of looking at some small transgression from 20-30 years ago, look at his record as a politician in MN. This is a man who would lead us back to relevance.
Liberals fall for this all the time. That’s why my feed has been full of stupid articles inviting me to empathize with white working classes, because their economic fears made them vote for a Nazi.
Still can’t watch the news, so I don’t know what’s going on here, but I just came to say that Rep. Ellison is beloved in MN. Even the people who hate his politics still respect the guy because of his absolute devotion to his district and his state. He has deeply held and very strong convictions, but he is not an…
The accusation of anti-semitism for not blindly praising anything and everything Israel does is as much or more of a political death sentence in the United States, as it is here in Germany. It’s the most egregious case of the tail wagging the dog that I’ve ever seen.
Why do we care what right wing news and CNN, media sellout for ratings think at all? Is there some belief most liberals will fall for any of this? The real mistake right wing news makes is believing we’re as gullible as their usual readers.
Based on the recent dismal electoral results, we’re in a new era of smear-openness now, so let’s just say he’s black y’all, and he’s black y’all and he’s blacker than black and he’s black y’all, and he’s bliggity-bliggity-bliggity-bliggity black y’all.
eton was mentioned once- justin finch-fletchley was going to go before he found out he was a wizard.
THAT IS THE EXACT BOOK I AM TALKING ABOUT.
Right? The only other boarding school mentioned in the series was St. Brutus’ Secure Centre for Incurably Criminal Boys which sure seems like it was J.K. Rowling poking a bit of fun at the stereotype of how terrible boarding schools are.
Counterpoint: Swinton (who may or may not be real, we may never know the truth) is the one who mentioned a fictional school in the discussion of reality so shit that ain’t real is fair game.
Counterpoint: Magic and flying lessons.
Ha! I remember reading somewhere that someone bought a house with a kitchen that had undergone a high end makeover by the previous owners. It had one of those pricey Vikings and laying in the oven on the center rack? The instruction manual. The previous owners had never used the thing.
in, like, fucking Bloomington
Maybe it’s because I grew up in a small-ish house with 8 people in it, but seperate rooms during the day was a life saver. We are also all big readers with fairly hands-off parents, so being able to go somewhere and curl up with a book was really nice.
