What amazes me is how many people still complain that all a woman has to do is accuse a man of ANYTHING and he’s “locked up for life.” The reality is so far in the other direction.

I don’t question my belief that it’s wrong to give the government the authority to kill its own citizens. I don’t believe our justice system should have that kind of power.

We could easily solve the mass incarceration problem by not incarcerating *non* violent offenders. Stop jailing people for being addicted to drugs, failing to pay court fines, being homeless etc. so when guys like this show up, we can lock him up and throw away the key.

It’s not so much the execution drug that’s expensive, it’s the years and years of sitting on death row (expensive) while multiple appeals (expensive) take place. I believe death row inmates have a longer life expectancy than people in for life.

I mean, either that or life imprisonment and longer, stronger, rehabilitation... *sigh* but that costs quite a lot of money.
