Chrysler. (yes, I know it’s not a model... but it effectively is only selling one model). Even as an owner of a 2023 Chrysler, I think that it is time to put Chrysler out to pasture to join the likes of Plymouth, Imperial, and DeSoto as stand alone brands.

When this car was new, the same could be said for first generation 6-cyl Mustang convertibles.  “No one wants a 6 cylinder Mustang”.  

Agreed.  If most of the Chargers/Challengers sold were the V6 (which, they were)....A Charger GT with the Handling package and a few options rings in at $40K (sticker, before any incentives).  I doubt that the SIX PACK cars are gonna be in the $40K range.  

This was the car that started the “every-GM” look.  Before the Seville, all the GM cars were a little curvy.  After the Seville, everything went boxy and slab sided.  77 downsided B/C bodies.  78 Abodies.  79 Ebodies.  80 Xbodies.  82 Jbodies.  

I had a Wrangler 4xe as a loaner when my 300 was getting a few minor things fixed under warranty.  I managed to drive it in pure electric mode for about 90% of the time, just keeping it charged up at home with the included Level 1 charger.

haha.. not quite.  Visiting parents and friends back in ABQ for long breaks, etc.  

Driver’s license requirements in the US are too lax. And I say this as someone who counted down the years, months and days... including delaying our family’s move to another state.... to get my driver’s license the first moment I could.

Exactly.  West Texas.  New Mexico.  Arizona.  Eastern California.  In college in the mid 90s I drove from Albuquerque to Las Cruces more times than I can count... and even at 65 that was a very slow and tedious slog.  At above the limit, I was more alert and paying more attention (cuz I was looking for cops LOL )

Mercury did offer a Sable LTS for the final year of the second generation in 1995.

I’m actually pretty interested in the new Charger, both in EV and I6 versions.  The EV pricing is pretty high for what I was hoping, so if it is something that I wanna get I might look into leasing.... maybe.  We will just have to see.  I like that it’s here and that Dodge is still going for the silly stuff in the EV…

The Ford Fox Platform started with the 1978 Fairmont with an 88HP 2.3L 4cyl (in it’s most basic powertrain) and ended with the 2004 Mustang Cobra with a 390HP Supercharged 4.6L V8 and an IRS (yes, slightly modified but still essentially FOX).

Yeah, the 300Cs have all been sold. Cars.com shows 1 available, and its still showing a $10K ADM at the moment.  I’m glad I got mine when I did.  18K miles so far and plenty of smiles. 

Chrysler’s dealer inventory shows 0 Cs left. Cars.com shows 1 C left for sale new.

A friend as a BMW i5 (phenomal car, stupid powerful) and he has the phone as a key thing. Phone died while having dinner, so had to beg for a charger to charge his phone enough at the restaurant to be able to unlock his car and start it.

For me, I’d say a BEV with 250-300 miles of range would be sufficient. We do occasionally take some long road trips, so it would just be an adjustment on the charging times during or at the destination vs. just filling up at a gas station in a 10 minute stop.

For me it was the Eagle Premier ES. One of my brother’s friends’ mom had one, in white with white wheels (and white letter BFGs). That car looked so slick to me.

How do you like the Aviator?  How has it been in the reliability department.  I’ve been thinking that my next purchase will skew more towards something like the Avaitor, with more emphasis on comfort and luxury, but still has some pull off the line.
