It would more than likely require crash testing that engine/trans combo, but wouldn’t require a new firewall. The Charger/Challenger share the same firewall. Would only need to weld in the forward portion of the Challenger central tunnel to accept the manual trans shifter vs the Chargers central tunnel.

Plus, with all that elevation changes and the regenerative brakes recharging the battery, you may actually get more than 25 miles of pure electric on it.

Our ‘16 EcoDiesel also got really great mileage. It was wonderful for that. Not so wonderful when it stranded us numerous times, had several trips to the dealer on the back of a flatbed, and spent 4 months in the shop unable to diagnose the problem. It was a lemon and was bought back.

“My 1988 Chevy Opala. I desperately want to drop a high-revving, good-sounding engine to replace the Iron Duke. I’m thinking twin turbo Alfa V6 3.0, sort of like a Callaway gtv6.”

Also, like GreeN_Gold said, I’m sure they’d sell TRX’s with the hellcat engine for way more profit than a 300.”

There will be demand, but I’m fairly certain the Dodge’s and the SUV’s are of higher demand than the 300, and command larger margins. That’s my point.”

3rd: I watched the reveal live. As soon as the CEO talked about the reservation process, I went online and put my reservation in even before the reveal was over with. I got my confirmation email almost immediately. Next step is that the “300C Concierge” will contact with how to place the deposit on the car.

Not really. If I had my way, this would be the interior that would be at least optional in the 2023 300C.

Based on the teaser image Chrysler released, exactly what I was expecting to debut. A Scat Pack Charger in a 300 suit. I know that a bunch of folks are disappointed that it wasn’t Hellcat powered, but this is exactly what I’ve been wanting. The 6.4L engine is a great one, with a bit more power than my current 6.1L

The only thing that they left on the table was not installing the Hellcat engine in it.  If you look at the specs of a 2022 Scat Pack Charger, the parts are the same.  6.4L Hemi, 8spd auto, adaptive suspension, 4-piston Brembos, 3.09 axle, active exhuast.  The only thing missing compared to a Scat Pack is the widebody

Not the Hellcat. All Hellcat models have come with 6-piston Brembos on the front. The teaser image of the wheel shows the 4-piston Brembos, which have been factory equipment on the Charger/Magnum/300/Challenger with the 6.1 and 6.4L Hemis.  All signs point to this being a 6.4L powered 300, which has been available in

It’s a shame that the 3.0L OM642 wasn’t available in the US in the 300/Magnum as it was in Europe. My husband had an E350 Bluetec with that engine in it, and it was a plenty poweful and quick diesel. Routinely got 35+ mpg on the freeway, a few times touching over 40. I’d love to have that in an LX wagon.

That’s exactly what i was thinking.  The Wagonner S is to the Wagoneer in the same way that the Range Rover Sport is to the Range Rover (not counting the difference in ICE vs BEV)

I think that you are right on the money with a 392 powered 300 as the send off, just exactly for the reasons you specified.  If that is the case... I would seriously consider adding one to compliment my Magnum SRT8.

That’s what I did with my Magnum SRT8

Someone in my neighborhood rolls around in this beautiful black Crossfire SRT6 coupe. I car-geeked out the first time I saw it and had to snag some pics of it.

When Toyota stops selling the Corolla in the US market because “no one wants sedans, they just want crossovers”.... when people come into the dealership they can still leave with the “Corolla” name they came in for.

I do find it funny that all this talk and bluster regarding US production and sourcing (which I agree with) is coming from someone who drives around in an SUV built in Italy without any (or very little) US sourced parts.

Yeah, in some ways I think you are right. But one thing that I think that made the whole SRT-as-a-brand idea not work was that the SRT branded vehicles spanned across 3 different brands (Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep).  Had they been formally under one brand like Corvette is with Chevrolet and Ram was under Dodge before

I aslo disagree as well.  That Z71 looks really good.  Very clean.  I’m not particularly a fan of the all black face of the Trail Boss.  To me looks better than any of the mid-sizers out there, including the upcoming Ranger.

There was another Chrysler Tubrine car built, in 1977.
