For my particular wrap, it lasted about 18 months before the base color started to deteriorate.  The base color was a satin pearl finish, which stands up the least to full sun outdoors.  I parked outside all the time.  And you can’t wax a satin finish, so it went unprotected.  Now there are protectants you can put on

I also live in San Diego, and every weekend I see those rigs with their toys heading out to the desert. Agree on the sentiment, which could be generalizing, but I’ve seen many of them lately with LetsGoBrandon stickers etc.

Just bring back the wild retro stripes of the 70s/early 80s. This is what I did with my Magnum for a couple of years, vinyl wrap.

Soon to be followed by the announcement of the Ram TRX Redeye.  Replace the Hellcat-cased supercharged V8 with the 797HP RedEye Supercharged Hemi.

Agreed.  The Fusion should have been the Taurus.  But, the CEO wanted all cars to start with F and all SUVs to start with E, so thats why the Taurus was out.  Boneheaded move!

Agreed, for the most part, about the Aussie Falcon. But in the US, the markets were shifting towards FWD and the Aussie Falcon wasn’t a good fit for the US Market.

However, in the 2000s, the Falcon should have been shipped over here. I think that it would have made a great addition to the Ford lineup.

I had to replace the water pump in my 92 Tempo GLS with the 3.0L Vulcan V6. I’m not sure how accessible the water pump is on a Vulcan Taurus, Ranger, etc. Because of how small the engine compartment was and how that engine was wedged in there, the water pump was located between the rear head and the firewall. This

The Ford Taurus. It hit the scene as a huge hit for Ford, and help to redefine the mid-sized family car. Aerodynamic styling, great size, and looked way different than most cars out there in 1986.

Dont forget the real low water mark of the Thunderbird, but the first Fox-based Thunderbird:

When the movie came out, it was a complete let down for me too. I was really excited to see the new Z3 in the movie... and it was on screen for like 90 seconds. Once in the garage and then just driving down a dusty one lane road. THAT’S IT?!?!?

And they also relocated the fuel filler from behind the wheel (on the Solara) to in front of the wheel (on the Sport Trac bed).

.... kinja’d.  :-(

Which, based on what I’ve read in the comments, Mitsubishi will gladly do that as well.

Great Jalopnik ad placement!!

The Dodge Journey was just recently discontinued, and it sold well because it was one of the (if not THE) cheapest 3-row crossovers out there. I wonder how much of this helped to increase the sales of the Outlander because it now fills that void.

When GM went whole hog with the newly legalized rectangular lights, the Firebird/TransAm pulled off that transition the best out of any of those that got the treatment.

Neutral:  Actually, I saw one of these in traffic a couple of days ago and I truly was flabergasted.  I though Subie stopped making the regular ol’ Legacy sedan with the redesign... but nope!

With so many manufacturers besmirching the coupe name by applying it to four doors, it’s good to see a REAL coupe in the form of today’s Nice Price or No Dice AMC. Let’s find out what this crazy 4X4 two-door should rightfully cost.

When it gets to the point that it will be hard to drive an ICE vehicle, this thing will be so old (and probably rusty), you’ll be passing it on to some young whipper snapper who is barely old enough to buy beer who buys it as his/her/their “Holy Grail” because it was the last fully ICE manual trans crank window

Ford is jumping into the full size SUV off-roady bandwagon with the 2022 Expedition Timberline.
