Hey guys, uh....Rome is burning...
What on earth was the point of this article? The entire internet is full of people writing articles and a bunch of other people shouting in agreement right below them. It’s happening in this comment section too!
I wanted to call the cops on a woman (maybe drunk or on drugs) acting erratic in my street, and I had the same hesitation so I didn’t do it. What I wanted was for her to be removed from a situation that seemed dangerous for her and possibly dangerous for the many children in my neighborhood, and for her to get some…
The thing that always gets me is the number of shots. Let’s say I actually believe this guy advanced at the cops with an unidentifiable object and they actually feared for their lives. Even if you’re trying to protect yourself there’s no need to shoot 20 times at one person. If you are unloading that many bullets at…
Whoa there, I’m all for police being punished for their crimes, but attacking someone for their “weak slippery slope argument” after you just fucking suggesting publicly executing ALL cops is bonkers.
If you start publicly hanging whole groups for crimes against society, you’ll run out of humans pretty quick. You’ll also find yourself in one of those groups faster than you think.
They want us like hell to see what I assume is a relatively short video of the immediate confrontation. Because every other part of this makes them look like the literal worst most incompetent idiots in the city.
I had the same reaction; it doesn’t make sense at all. Why would Clark smash car windows and and try to break into a home basically next door to where he lived? If he were breaking in, wouldn’t he have worn gloves and carried a bag to carry stuff away in, instead of, you know, a cell phone?
I still have my copy of the OEF Rules of Engagement from when I was deployed to Kosovo 10 years ago.
Keep in mind that the police were only supposed to be looking for someone who, at worst, was committing property crimes. Yet they managed to escalate that into the taking of an innocent man’s life. Having your car broken into sucks, but nothing like being dead forever. If I owned one of the damaged cars and heard that…
Because they’re trained not too. They are trained that their lives are more important than anyone else’s and when in doubt, shoot first.
And nothing says “facist dictatorship” like punishing, insulting and assaulting those that don’t.
You know what really bothers me? When people bug out about kissing kids on the lips. Not everyone does it but when people do, IT IS NOT SEXUAL. People cringing like there is a sexual element is icky. It’s icky! That’s a father and son, clean your head. Damn.
The mother and daughter were framed for murder, saw one of their group shot and killed, and were forced out of the mall (to their likely death). Plus they had their fellow townspeople call them sick just because she was pregnant from a previous boyfriend when she started going out with her husband.
Considering that everyone in that mall just tried to kill them, I have no problem with “our heroes just killed a mall full of people”. I was expecting them to drive by the main entrance and just give them the finger, so when he stopped and I realized he was going to ram the entrance and let the mist in, I was all in.
I just finished watching the series on Netflix and my response is a resounding “Huh?”
We did it, everybody! We survived the Kinja Apocalypse! Oh yeah, and season one of THE MIST, ba-dum *tiiisshhhh*
That bit with Alex/Jay at the end was another fantastic example of TEN FEET FROM SAFETY - “Oh sure, one of us could dash over there and pull Jay free, but, no, we won’t. Let’s escape, everybody! Alex, say goodbye to your dead brother-boyfriend, ha ha!” vroooooooooooom
“every character involved said the word “go” roughly 65 times.”
Typical snowflake response to Adrien. Because god forbid you have anyone apart from your stereotypical straight white male be an off-the-wall psycho in a TV show. Life just ain't like that kids……deal.
