But battleships guns provide fantastic fire support for on shore units. Hard to argue against the ability of the 16” guns shells ability to penitrate 10ft+ of reinforced concrete 20 miles inland.

In order to bring these back effectively they would need to be converted to Nuclear which would require splitting the aft section of the ship. Its my understanding that the knowledge of how the armor was welded on these ships was lost long ago and lack of said welding knowledge would prevent them from being converted.
