Yeah, I mean, I like RBG, she’s a progressive liberal justice who did so much for women’s rights. But this is precisely why I am weary about putting really ANY political figure on a pedestal. It just makes the fall that much worse. 

I agree. I think that our community has a social responsibility to adopt. You might get beat up in the comments for this sentiment so for what it is worth - I agree with you. 

I find it amusing because so many comments on this very website are constantly talking about how terrible and annoying and crazy vegans are...well.................

So you honestly think that these plates, that don’t even make sense (small portions aren’t inherently better for you), will help solve obesity? Wow. 

I am honestly surprised that so many people don’t see how bad these plates are. These are such a representation of extremely toxic diet culture. You think a person struggling with anorexia since high school can sit down, see these plates, and not be triggered? Not to mention they don’t even make sense. 

First of all, the “portion control” part doesn’t make a lot of sense. By that logic, you could put a baked potato loaded with cheese and bacon bits in the “skinny jeans” portion and a salad with fruit and veggies and a vinaigrette dressing in the “mom jeans” portion.

Those plates piss me off so much.
