Thank you for writing this. I mean, of course if someone RSVPs they should show up, but I disagree with all the comments saying its a really “asshole move” if they don’t come. Things happen. People bail. That’s life. It happens at literally every party/get together/event.

This ruined my day.

Now its Sunday morning...I hope people still read this after Saturday night!

My current boyfriend gives me the best sex I ever had and I’m afraid that if we break up (which is likely because we are young and I may be moving next year) I’ll never be fully satisfied again. :-/

This is hilarious!! I find it really endearing to see someone get so excited over the beauty that is our natural world. And sunfish ARE totally weird-looking and if I’m correct, relatively rare to see! I remember my dad saw one (he’s a big diver/boater) and couldn’t stop talking about it for a while.

Good god, I feel like the vast majority of GoFundMe pages I see are just completely out of line, expectant, and tacky. I saw one pop up of a suburban 18 year old couple still in high school trying to raise money for first and last month rent and a security deposit because they wanted to “create their love nest early

Whoa, how can Elitedaily actually post this shit?

Yup, and “Ms.” applies to all women, married or not. I am a 23 year old teacher and go by “Ms.” and I make it clear I prefer to be called “Ms. _______.” My mom, same last name, is married but also prefers to be called “Ms.” and not “Mrs.”

Yeah...I mean, my parents are pretty lax but I always called adults “Mr.” and “Ms.” Perhaps it is old-fashioned but I definitely do not feel that its creepy. I am also a teacher so I am called “Ms.” all the time and to be honest I really like it. I am only 23 so to have some of these older parents call me “Ms.” feels

I am a young, second-year teacher (about to turn 24) so I am called “Ms.” all the time. The funny thing is that I actually work with two teachers at my school who used to be MY teachers in high school (different schools, same community) and I totally still call them “Mr. ______” and “Ms. _________.” I can’t bring

THANK YOU! I am so dismayed by the comments on here and on one of the articles yesterday. We have to support nurses, not add to Joy Behar’s shitty comments.

I shouldn’t engage, but whatever.

I love reading BCO, but today I ran errands and witnessed some older woman be so incredibly nasty, rude, and condescending to the young cashier that I drove home vowing to be extra nice to any workers I encounter in food/retail for the rest of my life. Good god.

This sadly applies to a lot of aspects of third wave feminism. You said it in your comment - we don’t make choices in a vacuum. So many feminists (especially on this site) will argue until they’re blue in the face trying to validate their choices as having nothing to do with the patriarchy, but it would be easier to

I’m pretty sure L7 played their first round of reunion shows back in July in LA. My roommates flew out to see them.

You know, Lunachicks remains one of the most underrated fucking bands from that whole era. All my friends who are into female bands and riot grrl are all “meh” about Lunachicks, but I fucking LOVE them.

Good advice. I have friends in this situation. My friend broke up with his 4 year girlfriend and (secretly) got with his new gf about a month later. Their relationship is really bizarre and I can tell my friend obviously has weird, mixed feelings about his new gf because he just got involved with her way too fast. I

Every relationship I’ve been in its always been equal. I prefer going Dutch or taking turns (in the case of a relationship). Having a man pay for the date is so antiquated to me.

Exactly. When I go out with a group I always just tell the waiter right away that we’re on seperate checks (when I’m with friends and we all know the deal). The waiter always is totally fine with it plus it makes it a lot easier than having to sit and split one bill on 4 different credit cards.

Agreed. Out of all my friends, I make the most money and have the most savings, but I’m also the most frugal. I will admit, I grumble and bitch about the cost of things and its something I’ve actively been trying to work on.
