Yep! I took it my senior year because I had finished my major and wanted to do fun/interesting classes. It was looking at the beach in a cultural, historical, and societal context. So we went over conquistadors, early civilizations, the invention of surfing, beach as a vacation destination, etc.

I took a history of the beach class in college and we did a lesson on the history of swimsuits/following the trends. We discussed shorts for a while, and some of the shorts worn by dudes in the 70s were tiny! It was awesome.
