The Chinese Three Kingdoms-era knock-off of Rogue One looks pretty slick.

Maul and Rey in the same game? Sign me the fuck up!

Peach’s phone tho. That case with her emblem on it would sell gangbusters.

Tachikoma is best ‘koma. And ironically, they were exclusively rendered in CG.

People who are adults now see hand-drawn animation and computer animation as two different things, whereas children don’t (or don’t seem to care nearly as much). From their perspective, it’s a matter of quality level. CG tends to almost always look better.

The tank in the 1995 movie is cel animation with some CG post-processing. I think the whole tank was rendered for the moment where it swivels to throw the Major off, that animation was way too smooth to have been done by hand.

Since we’re all automatically linked to every article simultaneously, it is now impossible to be off-topic.

In the case of “The Laughing Man” and “Individual Eleven”, they were straight to DVD movies.

The other picture isn’t Ghost in the Shell either. As you said, I was just showing examples of his different art styles.

I’m trying to figure out what I accidentally said to make you think I prefer his newer work.

He’s basically Hobbes, right?

RIP tri-lingual theme songs. :(

I’ll give you Arise, but SSS was a good way to cap off SAC after they started spinning their wheels by turning each season of SAC into a clunky movie.

This is excellent news.

What exactly about this is updated?

Tsunderegg

I think Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is actually Daenerys Targaryen. She leaves destruction in her wake and is obsessed with giant eggs.

Now that I think about it, this is one of the reasons I couldn’t follow the TV reboot of Sailor Moon. The visuals were “updated”, but they weren’t better or nearly as distinctive as they were originally.

It’s Sailor Moon, there has to be, like, a hundred art books by now.
