Whenever I read stories like this in the world, I wonder how on earth people my age or younger can just go and willy nilly drop $2000 on something like this. Our household income is twice the median and anything over $200 is a ‘is this ok? Can we do this?’ type of purchase. I always wonder what these people do for a

I was legitimately worried that this was going to be another OITNB thing where men complained about the lack of focus on men in a story by women about women in a women’s prison.

Cannot do. That would require me scanning a photo and I don’t have a scanner. But here’s a McClintock that’s pretty close to my wedding dress. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

I would really like a _My Super Sweet 16: Where are they now?_ with all the original spoiled brats.

so thankful i came of age before instagram and promposals.

Years ago, my Fox News-watching dad came over for a visit and gave my son Bill O’Reilly’s book for teenagers. My son said “Thanks Grandpa” and after my folks went home, my kid tossed the book in the garbage. He was 14.

I am going to go out on a limb and guess that you’re a white, hetero man. Or haven’t seen any news about the actual laws both enacted and repealed that have a seriously deleterious affect on many non-white and non-men and non-hetero.

Oh, trust, I’m in therapy. It’s not about who won or lost. It’s about the implications that come with it. I am terrified DAILY about the fact that the place I go for my free mental health care can be de-funded any day because they provide contraception too. I’m terrified to leave my house wearing my Star of David

I feel like there’s a certain breed of insecure man who needs to feel like men are “better” than women just so he’s automatically better than someone.

It’s not about including everyone. The point is that she is exemplifying the outlook of the young white, rich, Brooklyn set that is pervading this city. The gentrifying horde.

I usually laugh or roll my eyes at her childishness but that was hurtful as fuck. But then again I feel like it’s a true reflection of some mother/daughter relationships.

Watching this, I had that feeling you have when you find out some nice young kid you had a crush on from your high school developed a drug addiction and never moved of your home town or got a job or anything. It’s just a shame.

It was horrible. Why are final episodes of long-running shows so frequently awful? This whole baby thing is just so not true to the overall nature of the series as it is, but the finale truly felt like an extra shitty episode of Thirtysomething.

Agreed. This was kind of a soft, strange epilogue that seems completely removed from the universe of the show. Not totally implausible, and I think Hannah will do well where she is, but I agree that the second-to-last episode really closed the book. This finale felt like your average fanfic vignette.

I find it amusing when people talk about how we shouldn’t conflate Hannah Horvath with Lena Dunham, because honestly every time I read an interview with her it make sure me realize that while Hannah is fictional, Dunham is actually championing many of her worst qualities rather than lampooning them.

Shout out to Loreen who was for sure the star of this episode and, had some of the best moments of the season.
