I think this attitude is an extremely large part of how the alt right gained so much traction. What happened to proper debate and discourse? If we, as liberals, are so afraid of her voice being heard, and are willing to silence controversial topics then are we really striving for a fair and balanced society? or one…
Having read the book I actually prefer the original (floral) cover and it contains a lot of references to the story. The beautiful flowers distract from the grisliness of the chains, kind of like the way the women’s romanticism of the men in their lives hid the misogynist reality of their relationships. Even the hare…
For some reason it reminds me of the covers to the Southern Reach Trilogy, only those were effective and somehow managed to match the creepy tone of the books and this just looks like it’d be on some kind of generic kitschy coming of age story or something.
Wait, wait, wait. The Daily Show has had figures from both sides of the table. She’s a crazy person, yes, but why are we upset by her appearing on a talk show that discusses politics from all “walks”.

It was boxing versus professional wrestling; the sweet science versus the spectacle, and people voted for the spectacle. At the end of the day, the Dems wanted to have their cake and eat it too, and history would show this to be a fine strategy. Donald Trump didn’t much care for history, and didn’t “fight fair”. It…
This is a roundabout analogy, but I compare Clinton’s loss to the Packers/Seahawks playoff game from 2015 (http://deadspin.com/this-is-how-close-the-seahawks-came-to-never-even-start-1680433146)
So... you might be the problem?
Exactly how I interpreted the movie! The story is over the top and full of gratuitous violence, and I think the audience is supposed to recognize it as such. Edward is a terrible writer, and the story is fucking horrible.
