Okay, then they HAD to have altered it at some point because I have never heard it as anything but 2008.

Okay, then they HAD to have altered it at some point because I have never heard it as anything but 2008.

Another person here who's never heard the line as anything but "I'm so 2008! You're so 2000-LATE!"

"In an age of CGI/live-action hybrids (the planned model for the cinematic reboot)…"

"In an age of CGI/live-action hybrids (the planned model for the cinematic reboot)…"

I read that in Grandpa's voice.

I read that in Grandpa's voice.

(Spoilers!)

George returns home and lies in his bed laughing madly as he awaits his fate.  As he is crushed by falling airplane debris, the timeline rights itself and we see that all of the characters are better off.  Maybe.

With that in mind, I find it makes an excellent double-feature with the "Manny's Land of Carpets" episode.  I just love that by that point, the writers were willing to tackle anything with these characters.

I wrote this a few years before I watched "Muppet Family Christmas" so take the "this is the best Jim Henson Christmas Special EVER!" bit with that in mind: http://madnessmonster.wordp…

Now see, I love the hell out of "Wish for Wings" even though every other Bloom County fan tells me I am not supposed to.

It's weird in (depending on your point of view) either the best or worst ways.  Having caught it on YouTube recently, I like how the message was essentially, "leaving toys mint in box is bad and wrong."

I bought that DVD based off the Kipling stuff alone and was ecstatic when it turned out to have the Cricket "trilogy" on it as well.

And that one is wonderfully, sublimely strange in the best ways, with every species up and playing their own take on "Yankee Doodle".

As a weird little circular thing, there's a holiday production in the Disney parks that uses the 4th of July song with altered lyrics to announce "The Santa Claus Parade".

Small One!  Small One!  Small One for SAAAAAALE!

As long as it's the original dub and not the stunningly unnecessary Ben Stiller courting Brittany Spears deal.

^^ They don't.  The new characters who replace them are far, far stranger.

MY reindeer costume doesn't even have a nose per se, just a pair of whiskery nostrils.  Biological accuracy FTW!
