I love the show, but I'm not quite certain what intestinal fortitude has to do with what we saw: Daniel told the truth (that he found her dead) the first time through his story - which caused an uproar from the DAs (past and present). He only 'confessed' the second time to fulfill the stipulations of the plea deal.

Yes. I think things were OK, but I don't think she was happy in the way that Teddy was happy. Perhaps she felt some things were lacking, but couldn't put her finger on them exactly.

That being said, the list of 10 letter words with L at the beginning and T at the end is fairly short so I could certainly be wrong. The only one that I can find that might fit Amantha's (and Daniel's) sense of humor is lampoonist.

I think Teddy pressing charges will cause the judge (or DA) to quash the plea deal.

Yes - and this will likely be important, as it appears the deal will fall through and there will be a new trial.

"Daniel confesses …"

Nice idea, in terms of the context… but unlikely. Since she doesn't specifically say the letter locations (which one needs to know when playing Hangman), I assumed the L is the first letter (and she says, 'Nicely done', as if confirming this) and the T is the last letter (which seems plausible from where she draws it

Yep, licked card off to the DNA labs - just as I predicted here quite awhile ago :)

Yes, they've nicely (and subtly) introduced a new murder suspect - and since he was never mentioned by Trey (when speaking to Daniel), there must be some important reason (or connection to Trey) for the omission.

Hmm… I thought it was made quite clear. The first time through the story, he describes everything that happened completely truthfully - i.e. he came down from the bluff and found her dead. The SECOND time, after the break, in order to fulfill the plea deal, he lies and says he strangled her.

Childish and reckless, yes - evil, no. Teddy's done a lot of things wrong - but he's still a good person at heart - just insecure and full of fear. Let's hope he might learn something from all of this and become a better person.

Yes, I think they perhaps pushed it a little bit too far too fast for plotting purposes (the writers wanted this in the penultimate episode). Teddy had been sweet to Tawney just the episode before, so while I can believe, given his insecure personality, that he might make such a rant - it would have been more

Well, Teddy has certainly helped drive his wife into Daniel's arms by his cruel, uncalled-for rant towards her the day she found out she had a miscarriage - there's no other way to read that.

WHOOPEE!! Fantastic! Thanks for posting this - I really thought this might be the end of the line for my favorite show - great news!!

Sorry, but the order of events was this: Ted Sr. asked Ted Jr. NOT to mention the 'troubles' (i.e. Daniel's return) of the tire store to Daniel. Teddy took Daniel to lunch on his first full day of freedom and, disobeying his father, did exactly what Sr. told him not to do - being an utter douche-bag in the process. He

Yes, it is surprisingly VERY good - so nuanced and well-acted. I binge-watched all of the episodes - I couldn't stop! :) Thank you again for the mention. I can't believe more people aren't talking about it (except for the fact that it's on WE tv) - it got at least one quite-good review from a well-renowned critic:

Let's hope Sundance will give it one more season based on the critical raves it gets and an eye towards future profits.

Thanks for pointing this show out to me - I'm almost caught up and really enjoying it! It's like old home week on The Wire (3 actors from that series have appeared so far). It's much more 'normal' drama fare when compared to Rectify - but still well-written and compelling. I have to think that LaGravenese and Goldwyn

Sorry, I meant it completely in good humor - but maybe it came across as sarcasm (which was not the intent).

Yes, and I think the point was to show just how deeply he was hurt by her rebuff of him - but honestly, Daniel was talking rather crazy - what else could Tawney do? But since she was the first person to 'touch' him since Kerwin (many years before), it's understandable why he attached way too much meaning to it way too
