That's one of the things I like best about the series. Bosch has limitations as he's aged and it shows. It's just a bit hard to believe he was in Vietnam now. :)

Felt that way when I finally watched The Wire. Still feeling that way as I'm catching up on The Americans. Even when I really like what someone said, I feel weird upvoting their comment from 2 years ago.

Just started The Wrong Side of Goodbye by Michael Connelly. Just finished Night School by Lee Child and Rowdy: The Roddy Piper Story.

For Christmas, I received 2 bottles of wine and three bottles of tequila. Drank half the wine. Waiting for NYE for the tequila.

My favorite gift received was the Evil Dead/Toy Story mash up tee shirt.

I tried to stop being a bitch one year. Lasted until I got to work on January 2.

Like Caroline, I finally watched "the Wire." While I thought it was damn good, funny and scary and sad, sometimes all in the same scene, I didn't think it was the greatest show ever.

My dad and his best friend were hunting and his friend mistook him for whatever they were hunting and got him full face/torso with buckshot. He lost an eye. They're still best friends.

So very lucky that our office will send you home if you come in sick. Our former office manager would glare at you if you coughed in the winter time, regardless of the reason.

Never even thought of that. Thanks!

Thanks for your thoughts. Originally, I had only seen it to refer to blacks, but recently, I've seen it covering everyone except white. I was confused, although that is something that happens quite often.

Thanks for your thoughts. I, too, think it's a vague, blanket statement that many people simply throw around to sound good.

My favorite thing at the Red Oak is the Oak Club, which is ham, turkey and bacon, grilled and served on a warm croissant.

Not a beer drinker, but I do enjoy a good libation! We'll have to arrange something.

I thought maybe there could be a reasonable discussion in the reasonable discussion forum. The vast majority of the people on this forum aren't assholes like on so many other forums, so I expected a respectful conversation, not a can of worms. But this is the internet, so I guess you're right. :)

Serious question: Who are considered People of Color? Blacks? Hispanics? Asians? Mixed race?

From another Pittsburgher:

Last time I quit, I used Wellbutrin and the lozenges. Managed 6 months, but then my co-worker was out for the summer. Gotta love my boss, he'd come in every 3rd or fourth day with "Guess you picked the wrong time to stop smoking."
